Brief: How might we create an interactive experience of IKEAS campaign proposal checklist?
Ikea expressed the need for a redesign of their campaign proposal list. Their initial process of choosing if a campaign is meeting the companys criteria was a numbered checklist that would ultimately position your pitch in their scale depending if the criteria are met. Our challenge was to design a new interactive and enjoyable campaign proposal checklist.
We wanted to create something that took the employers of IKEA on a journey and used storytelling to approach this. Instead of having a bullet list with criteria on a sheet of paper, we created a clickable manual similar to IKEAS assembly manuals that we’re all familiar with.
In my role as storyteller and designer I wanted to keep in line with their already strongly established brand and give them a similar experience to their customers. As a UX designer our goal is always to help make the client we are working with understand their costumers better and a classic IKEA manual was the perfect way of showing this in a clear, fun and visually appealing way.
